CLUB CLOSURE – COVID 19
As a result of guidance issued tonight from the UK and Scottish government that leisure centres and gyms were to close, KSC will close for all members. The period of time for this closure will be informed by emerging government policy.
In addition, we advise the site and building will be inaccessible. This decision, in effect removing the Astro and grass areas from recreational use, is to encourage the right response from individuals and children in particular to adhere to public health policy to avoid socialising and exercising in groups.
The trustees are working hard to ensure that the existing shut down in the Club and consequential negative impact on revenue is managed in a manner to permit us to re-open fully when the time is right, without any reduction to the quality of facility or staff. This is understandably a difficult balancing act. Therefore, we ask all members to continue to support the Club in this time by retaining the monthly memberships as far as possible.
As this situation develops, we are engaging with the local authority to seek to continue to maximise our footprint in the community in terms of helping those in need and the vulnerable.
As further information and updates become available we will ensure our members and the community we serve are informed.
